Financial Assessment of Licence Fees

The ERB deals with four major licenses for the electricity industry, namely generation, transmission, distribution and supply licenses. All the above licenses are subject to a license application fee on application at the rate of 0.1% of the value of net assets or the minimum capital requirement.

In addition, every undertaking is obliged to remit 0.7% of their annual turnover as license fees which are collected by the ERB on behalf of the government.
