The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) will on Friday,
12th December, 2008 be holding a Public Forum at Namukuyu Lodge in Kabwe to
discuss the "Power Outages and Quality Service Delivery�. The Discussants will
be ERB and ZESCO. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE INTENTION BY ZESCO LIMITED TO REVIEW OF CHARGES, FEES AND PENALTIES Pursuant to the Electricity Act, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) will be conducting a public hearing on 21st December 2006 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka from 09:00 to 13:00 hours. The Public Hearing will enable the Board to take into account objections received from members of the public regarding ZESCO's application to alter fees, charges and penalties, before it makes a decision on the application. Therefore, all those who made written submissions to the Energy Regulation Board following public advertisements on the matter will be given an opportunity to present their objections to the Board during the public hearing. Similarly, ZESCO will be accorded an opportunity to justify its proposed alteration on the current fees, charges and penalties. Members of the
public who did not make written objections to ZESCO's application are free to
attend the Public Hearing, as observers. |
