Proposed Feed in Tariffs for Small Hydro Power Projects - Stakeholder Consultation
Further to the official adoption of the Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff (REFiT) Strategy by the Government of the Republic of Zambia in October 2017, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) was tasked to determine feed-in-tariffs for mini-hydro power plants of maximum capacity 20 MW under the Global Energy Transfer Feed In Tariff (GET FiT) programme. In accordance with its mandate, the ERB has now determined the base tariffs for mini-hydro based projects in preparation for the procurement of power projects under the REFIT/GET FiT Programme.
The ERB has since finalized its preliminary work and has estimated the energy tariffs for various project sizes. Further, the ERB is now undertaking stakeholder consultations with government stakeholders and industry players, ZESCO Limited being key among them.
In this regard, the presentation made to stakeholders and an input sheet of the key variables used in determining the tariffs are hereby uploaded on the ERB website for Public comment.
We would be most grateful to receive your submissions by 8th October, 2018.
All email comments should be submitted to Manager - Economic Regulation Electricity on email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
