1. STATE OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE REPORT It is said that 'Energy is the backbone of any economy' and this maxim is certainly true for Zambia. In order to capture the full benefits of energy there must be robust and quality energy infrastructure. The existence of quality energy infrastructure is even more important at a time like this when Zambia has recorded massive economic development which has led to an increase in demand for energy products and services. ![]() 2. REPORT ON STATUS OF THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY The Energy Regulation Board presented a report on the Status of the Petroleum Industry in Zambia, to the Parliamentary Committee on Lands, Energy and Water on 24th January 2012. ![]() 3. ENERGY SECTOR REPORT 2010 The unprecedented growth, averaging over 5% per annum, recorded over the last decade is transforming the country that has culminated in the recent reclassification of Zambia as a lower middle income country (from a low income one). Such high growth needs to be underpinned by reliable supply of quality energy products and services so that growth is not curtailed by shortages of energy products and services. ![]() 4. ENERGY SECTOR REPORT 2008 The year 2008 posed serious challenges for the Zambian energy industry. While both the electricity and petroleum sub-sectors experienced major challenges, a number of positive developments in the sector were recorded. ![]() 5. ENERGY SECTOR REPORT 2007 The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) presents the second publication of the Energy Sector Report. This report reviews the performance of the sector in 2007 and provides an outlook of the energy industry. Most of the information presented is collected from the regulated entities and other Government agencies. ![]() 6. ZAMBIA NATION-WIDE BLACKOUTS OF 19TH, 21ST AND 22ND JANUARY 2008 - REPORT Between 6th February and 9th April 2008, a Committee appointed by the Energy Regulation Board conducted an Inquiry into the countrywide blackouts of 19th, 21st and 22nd January 2008. ![]() 7. APPROVED TARIFFS FOR ZENGAMINA POWER STATION LIMITED The Energy Regulation Board in May 2008, approved the tariff schedule for Zengamina Power Station Limited, after considering submissions by both the utility and the local community. ![]() 8. system disturbance that resulted in large portions of the country
