The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) through the Industry Wide Safety Liaison Committee (SLC) hereby invites the Zambian Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) stakeholders, consumers and the general public to participate in the process of developing Safety Rules for the ESI (“the Rules”) by way of submitting comments or proposed changes to the draft Rules. Full details are provided in Sections 1 and 2 as follows:
PROCESS FOR SUBMITTING COMMENTS OR PROPOSED CHANGES
Stakeholders wishing to respond to the ‘call for Stakeholder Consultation’ should follow the four steps below:
Step 1
Download the Draft Safety Rules and the Response Form.

- The Response Form can be downloaded here: (Response Form) (Word, 44KB).
Then, respond to the ‘call for Stakeholder Consultation’ as described in Steps 2 and 3 below.
Step 2
Please fill in your comments or proposed changes in the Response Form that you downloaded in Step 1.
The following is a quick guide on how you could use the Response Form to provide your comments or proposed changes:
- In the first column of the Response Form, identify the section of the draft Safety
Rules where you have a comment or proposal; - In the second column, state the word(s), sentence, or paragraph you wish to comment on;
- Then, indicate the comment or proposed change you would like to make, if any, in the third column;
- Finally, in the fourth column, give a reason for your comment or proposed change (Justification for change).
Step 3
After you complete filling in the Response Form with all your comments or proposed changes, it can be submitted to the ERB using the following methods:
- Either physically to the ERB Offices highlighted below or by post to the ERB Head office. The Forms should be addressed to the “Acting Director – Electricity and Renewable Energy”.
