Pursuant to section 4 (m) of the Electricity Act, 2019, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is vested with the statutory mandate to develop operating procedures, codes of practice, guidelines for incentive-based regulation, and specifications governing the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) in Zambia.
This legislative mandate enabled the ERB to develop the draft Smart Grid Regulatory Framework to facilitate the decentralization of energy systems in the ESI.
This notice serves to invite the public, interested and affected parties to submit comments on the above-mentioned draft Smart Grid Regulatory Framework. Copies of the draft framework and the comments form can be downloaded below.
Upon completion of the Comments Form, kindly submit the Form to the Director General, ERB, no later than 26th September 2025.
